I was supposed to spend the day in Stockholm but found myself on a bus going to the peninsula of Lake Mälaren. The travel took longer than I thought, I arrived Bålsta Järnvägsstation at past noon.
The peninsula of Lake Mälaren has a lovely landscape that I missed my stop. 😍😍 The passengers seated across me call my attention, timely for the next stop. I got off and walked back up to the castle for about 30 minutes. 🙃
I had a great laugh and chat with a local while watching the Swedish play that I chanced upon. Nope! I don’t speak Swedish nor understand the language, but that is the fun part, right? 😁Spent hours around the castle, snapping some pictures, reading a few pages of the book I brought with me, and checking out local crafts.
“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar:
I love not Man the less, but Nature more.”
― George Gordon Byron, Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage
